The Germany Job Seeker Visa lets qualified non-EU professionals enter the country without a job offer and search for employment on the ground attending interviews, networking, and applying in person rather than from abroad. For skilled professionals ready to relocate, it's one of the most direct ways into the German labor market.
Unlike applying from your home country, being physically present in Germany gives you a real edge employers can meet you face-to-face, you can attend walk-in interviews, and you're able to respond to opportunities the moment they arise. With Germany's growing shortage of skilled workers across engineering, IT, healthcare, and technical trades, this hands-on approach often leads to faster results than a purely remote job search.
If you're a recent graduate of a German university, you'll typically use the related post-study Job Search Residence Permit instead ask us which route applies to you.
